The Path is coming to the end!

Hello everyone this is the final blog.

I Introduction:
Why is it important for health and wellness professionals to develop psychologically, spiritually and physically? What areas do you need to develop to achieve the goals you have for yourself?

It is important for health and wellness professionals to develop psychologically, spiritually and physically because having a healthy inner life develops a healthy outer life. When we develop our higher consciousness we benefit from it such as, it allows us understand our biology in a way science cannot, when we understand our mind/body it enhances our well being. Also, in order for them to be successful in their field, they have to have an understanding of spiritual, physical and psychological practices and how can they teach or help patients  to develop psychologically, spiritually and physically if the professional has not yet done so.

I would need to develop my psychological aspect. At times I let stress and pressure get to me. I would have to learn how to handle these in order for me to reach my goal. A good way to develop psychologically would be to take the time out of my day and meditate or even to yoga, not only does that relax me but it also will help me physically which in another aspect that I need to develop more, so I can stay healthy and reach my goals.

II Assessment:
How have you assessed your health in each domain? How do you score your wellness spiritually, physically, and psychologically?

I rate my physical well being as a 9. physically I am healthy, but I do need to start eating healthier, for my spiritual well-being I rate myself as an 7, I need some work on this area because I feel restless and I take life too seriously. I need to just stop enjoy the environment and be grateful for what I have. With my psychological well-being I rate is at an 8 because I do things to make me relax, such as yoga but I do not do it every day to help relax my mind, I often get frantic and stressed.

III Goal Development:
List at least one goal you have for yourself in each area, Physical, Psychological (mental health) and Spiritual.

My goals for my physical health would be to eat healthier foods (getting more fruits and veggies and less snack food.) My goal for spiritual health is to do more silence prayers and find three different things everyday to be grateful for. For my psychologically wellness my goal would be to do yoga everyday and take that time to reflect on my day to relax my mind and body.

IV Practice for Personal Health:

What strategies can you implement to foster growth in each of the following domains; Physical, Psychological, and Spiritual. Provide at least two examples of exercises or practices in each domain. Explain how you will implement each example.

Some activities or exercise that I can implement in my life to assist in moving toward each goal would be first to find someone such as a family member who will support me in my goals and help me reach them, because having support in my life will help. Another activity would be doing yoga, once you exercise your mind and body that is when I want to eat healthy and exercise such as running or walking.

V Commitment:
How will you assess your progress or lack of progress in the next six months? What strategies can you use to assist in maintaining your long-term practices for health and wellness?

I will assess my progress or lack of progress in the next six months by keeping a journal of my goals and the activities I plan on doing to help me reach the goals. The strategies I can use to assist in maintaining my long-term practices for health and wellness is that I could make a calendar of the days I plan on doing these activities and at the end of every month I can re-evaluate my goals and see what I still need to work on or if I have accomplished my goals and make changes accordingly.
